
WACREN, through the TrustBroker Africa Programme, invites cybersecurity professionals and incident response teams from across Africa to participate in TrustBroker Africa (TBA) VI. This annual community and training event strengthens trusted collaboration and develops operational cybersecurity capabilities across the continent.
The programme will feature:
- CSIRT and Security Operations Training – technical workshops on incident response, operational tooling, and collaborative defence.
- Community Collaboration Sessions – opportunities to exchange operational experience and strengthen trusted relationships.
- Operational Security Discussions – focused on challenges affecting research, education, and broader digital infrastructure.
- CyberBastion Africa League – top teams from the online tournament and participants competing in the final cyber defence challenge.
- CyberBastion International League Launch – introduction and organisational meeting for country coordinator candidates.
Who Should Attend
- NREN security teams and institutional CSIRTs
- National CSIRTs and cybersecurity agencies
- Sectoral CSIRTs and SOC teams (e.g. telecoms, finance, utilities, and other critical infrastructure)
- Government agencies and regulators
Emerging cybersecurity professionals may also participate, particularly through the CyberBastion online tournament phase, which serves as a gateway into the League.
⚠️ Important Note for Participants Laptops are required for participation in the technical CyberBastion training sessions. Please ensure you bring a computer with you if you plan to join the hands‑on exercises.
Non‑technical sessions, collaboration discussions, and policy dialogues can be attended without a laptop.
