3-day hands-on technical workshop focuses on the campus network as the fundamental building block for R&E networks.  It will train network engineering staff from NRENs how to design, build, and operate secure and scalable campus networks.   

Participants will

  • learn best practices in designing and building hierarchical networks with requirements for Layer 2 and 3 and recommendations for resilient designs.
  • learn best practices for campus monitoring and security with demonstrations of tools and processes employed to improve management of campus networks.

Requirements

  • Linux/UNIX experience
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and layer 2 and layer 3 network basics
