This pioneering 2-day pilot workshop is designed specifically for Nigerian early-career researchers who want to champion open science within their institutions.
This intensive co-creation workshop will develop and mentor 30 new LIBSENSE ECR Network Leads, empowering you to implement change management programmes that promote open science practices and principles at your institution.
What you'll experience:
Through interactive sessions, you'll be sensitised to LIBSENSE open science practices and principles while sharing your own knowledge and experience with the open science community. Together, we'll develop your capabilities in open science advocacy and leadership, equipping you with the skills to engage institutional leadership and build sustainable on-campus communities.
A key outcome of the workshop will be co-creating an open access shareable toolkit for ECR network-building—resources you'll use immediately and that will support early career researchers across the region.
Why participate:
As a pilot participant, you'll help shape the LIBSENSE ECR framework before its wider regional rollout, connect with fellow Nigerian ECRs committed to transforming research culture, and gain structured approaches to advocate for and implement open science practices at your institution.
This is more than a training, it is a chance to become a catalyst for open science in Nigeria and help establish a model for the wider African research community.
