Building a National Framework for Open Research in Nigeria: Workshop on National Guidelines and Implementation Plans
CVCNU Secretariat

This LIBSENSE workshop, focused on priority-setting, is hosted by The Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (CVCNU). It aims to bring funders, open science experts, research administration, researchers, and library stakeholders together to capitalise on the fallouts from the national open science symposium held in September 2023.
Several outputs, such as a new common repository metadata schema, a call to action on assessment systems and work plans derived from a recent research data management (RDM) workshop, will form a foundation for shared infrastructure pilots that leverage insights gained from these activities to enhance the open science landscape in Nigeria.
