Providing broader promotion of maker culture and hackerspaces in NRENs, the Women in WACREN-Nigeria Physical Computing Workshop is a 5-day Hackfest including a “Women in the Community” session to be held at Access Bank ICT Center, Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria from 18th to 22nd November 2019.

The workshop organised by WACREN and Eko-Konnect and hosted by Covenant University follows on from the Women in WACREN online course ‘Physical Computing with Python’ that had over 300 subscriptions from female participants across Africa. The online course and meritorious selection of participants for the workshop have been open to women across Africa.
