  Security)\n\nThis cybersecurity training is organised with the support of
  the global Forum for Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST)\, the A
 fricaConnect2 project and Radically Open Security.\n\n\n    \n        \n

  \n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n \n\nObjectives: \n\n\n    familiarize participant
 s with the incident management process in detail\; how to improve inciden
 t handling techniques\, best practices for publishing communications about
  incidents\, working with the media\, and testing and verifying incident m
 anagement processes.\n     \n    equip participants with skills to work w
 ith information sources to gather critical information\, including open-so
 urce intelligence and proprietary intelligence as well as examining proces
 ses for information exchange.\n     \n    expose participants to methods 
 for incident coordination with a focus on how to handle major security eve
 nts and coordinate incident responses with external entities such as vendo
 rs\, law enforcement\, and various types of organizations.\n     \n    he
 lp participants establish methods to measure and improve the effectiveness
  of a CSIRT by using performance analysis and maturity models. \n\n\nPrer
 equisites: None\n\nTarget Audience:  The training is intended for new sec
 urity teams and NRENs that wish to start a CSIRT. \n\nLogistics:\n\n\n   
  All participants will have to secure funds for their travel\, including v
 isa fees where applicable.\n    International participants will be provide
 d with free accommodation from 26 March to 1 April 2017 in order to enabl
 e them to take part in the final conference of the TANDEM project on the a
 fternoon of 29 March 2017 and at the WACREN 2017 conference held on 30-31 
 March 2017.\n    Lunches and coffee breaks will be provided for all partic
 ipants for the duration of the workshop.\n\n\nApplications from the ASREN 
 and UbuntuNet Alliance regions are welcome and encouraged.\n\n\n    Deadli
