 Women-in-WACREN is looking for mentors (men & women) to volunteer to suppo
 rt teams in the Climate Innovation Lab 2026 as they build and refine digit
 al solutions to climate challenges in West and Central Africa.\nMentors co
 ntribute during the Lab itself and/or through the six-month post-Lab Commu
 nity of Practice and Solution Mentorship programme.\nAreas of expertise\nW
 e're looking for practical experience in one or more of these:\n\n\nClimat
 e change\, environmental science\, adaptation or mitigation\n\n\nSoftware 
 development and solution architecture\n\n\nArtificial intelligence and dat
 a science\n\n\nGIS and Earth observation\n\n\nIoT\, sensors and environmen
 tal monitoring\n\n\nUser experience and human-centred design\n\n\nEntrepre
 neurship\, business models and sustainability\n\n\nProduct development and
  deployment\n\n\nInstitutional adoption and partnerships\n\n\nMonitoring\,
  evaluation and impact\n\n\nWhat mentors will do\nThis varies by team\, bu
 t mentors can expect to:\n\n\nGive specialist technical or domain advice.\
 n\n\nReview solution concepts and prototypes.\n\n\nHelp teams spot technic
 al or implementation challenges early.\n\n\nConnect teams to useful tools\
 , data\, expertise or networks.\n\n\nAdvise on testing\, deployment and ad
 option.\n\n\nHelp teams build realistic technical and implementation roadm
 aps.\n\n\nCheck in periodically as solutions develop after the Lab.\n\n\nW

 \n\n\nWho we're looking for\nMentors can come from universities\, research
  institutions\, NRENs\, government\, industry\, innovation hubs\, civil so
 ciety or development organisations.\nWhat matters most is relevant\, pract
 ical experience\, ease working across multidisciplinary teams\, and the ab
 ility to give honest guidance while letting participants keep ownership of
  their solutions.\nMentors don't need to be trainers or facilitators. The 
 point is to make the right expertise available to teams exactly when they
