DESCRIPTION: The BookHub Collaborative Authoring Workshop — South-East E
 dition is a three-day immersive authoring sprint for university academics\
 , early-career researchers\, librarians\, and publishing professionals aff
 iliated with South-East Nigerian universities and Academic Publishing Cent
 res. Hosted by the Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Procurement\, Envir
 onmental and Social Standards at FUTO\, Owerri\, the workshop is co-organi
 sed by LIBSENSE and the BookHub OA Project Team\, with support from the So
 uth-East Academic Publishing Centre (APC-SE) and Datasphir Solutions.\nThi
 s is the second in a national series of BookHub workshops\, following the 
 inaugural South-West edition held at the University of Lagos (July 2–4\,
  2025). The Owerri workshop establishes a founding South-East cohort withi
 n Nigeria's growing open access scholarly book publishing programme.\nWhat
  the Workshop Aims to Do\n\nEstablish a founding South-East cohort of open
  access book authors and publishing professionals\nSupport participants in
  developing scholarly book proposals and draft manuscripts through structu
 red collaborative authoring sessions\nOnboard participants onto the BookHu
 b platform\, repository workflows\, and persistent identifier infrastructu
 re\nConnect South-East scholars and institutions to Nigeria's national ope
 n access book publishing programme\n\nWho Should Apply\n\nUniversity acade
 mics and researchers at South-East institutions with a draft book idea or 
 manuscript in progress\nEarly-career researchers (including postdoctoral f
 ellows and postgraduate students with supervisor endorsement)\nLibrarians 
 and information professionals with an interest in open access publishing w
 orkflows and repository integration\nEditors and publishing professionals 
 affiliated with South-East APCs\, university presses\, or institutional pu
