The Trust & Identity Birds of a Feather (BoF) session, co-located with the annual WACREN conference in Banjul, is an informal, participant-driven gathering for professionals working in Trust & Identity and Identity and Access Management (IAM) across the research and education community. It provides an open forum for participants to exchange practical experiences, discuss operational and policy challenges, and share approaches to deploying, managing, and scaling identity and access services within NRENs and connected institutions in the WACREN region and beyond.
Designed as a collaborative, discussion-focused session rather than a formal presentation track, this inaugural BoF will encourage peer learning, in-depth conversations, and networking among technical and service stakeholders. It will offer a flexible space to explore emerging needs, strengthen community coordination, and promote interoperable trust and identity practices across the regional research and education ecosystem. Participants will be coming from Europe, UK, Africa and beyond.
The BoF is open to all NREN managers within the WACREN region.
